Who we are

Pages Past Perimeters is a youth-led nonprofit organization committed to bridging global educational gaps through the power of books. Founded in November 2024 by Raahil Ganguly ’27 and Sofiana Azzouz ’26, the initiative began with a shared belief: literacy is a universal right, not a privilege.

Our mission is to bring unused, high-quality English books from communities of abundance to underserved schools, libraries, orphanages, refugee centers, shelters, and children’s hospitals around the world. Since our founding, we have coordinated with over 20 schools across Rhode Island and Massachusetts, raising over 15,000 books and establishing partnerships in eight countries spanning nearly every continent.

What started as a small local effort has quickly grown into a global movement—with a bold vision for the future: a national network of student-led chapters. Each chapter will independently identify places of need in their communities, organize book drives, and log their donations through our shared system to ensure transparency, accountability, and long-term impact.

Pages Past Perimeters will fund and help these chapters empowering motivated students not just to donate, but to lead. Through hands-on experience, our members gain organizational skills, global perspective, and a deeper understanding of what it means to make lasting change. We believe that no book should sit unused on a shelf while a child, somewhere, is waiting for the chance to learn.
