Raahil Aditya ganguly Founder & Director

Raahil Ganguly (‘27) is a passionate student and the founder of Pages Past Perimeters, a nonprofit dedicated to closing educational equity gaps by donating English books to under-resourced schools and those in need around the world. Fluent in English, French, and Bengali, he approaches global advocacy with a deep understanding of language and culture. As a Rising Generation Scholar delegate with the Aspen Institute, Raahil contributes to national conversations on youth leadership and social change. He is a nationally recognized poet and leads his school’s Economics Team to connect students with real-world finance and policy. He also plays competitive club soccer. His dedication to access, literacy, and youth empowerment fuels his mission to create lasting, cross-border impact.

Sofiana Azzouz Founder & Director

Sofiana (‘26) is a passionate student and the founder of Pages Past Perimeters, a nonprofit dedicated to bridging educational gaps by providing English books to under-resourced schools and communities around the world. Fluent in English, French, and Slovak, she brings a global perspective to her work and advocacy. She recently completed pre-college programs at the prestigious Sorbonne University in Paris and Comenius University in Bratislava, further deepening her academic and cultural experience. Sofiana also founded and serves as president of her high school’s stock market club, where she empowers her peers with financial literacy and real-world investing skills. Her commitment to education, equity, and cross-cultural understanding drives everything she does.

Mikaeel Akhtar Rhode Island Coordinator 

As the Rhode Island Coordinator for Pages Past Perimeters, Mikaeel leads efforts to expand access to books and literacy across local communities and beyond. He organizes book drives, builds partnerships with schools and nonprofits, and mobilizes students to take part in meaningful service. His role connects Wheeler School and the wider Rhode Island community to an international, student-led network dedicated to closing educational gaps through the power of books. Mikaeel is committed to turning local action into global impact, ensuring that every book collected helps open doors for readers around the world.
