Step 2: Locate & Prepare
Once you’re verified, it’s time to lay the groundwork for your chapter’s impact. Begin by identifying:
Donation Sites in your local area—these could include homeless shelters, refugee centers, underfunded libraries, children’s hospitals, or orphanages. We encourage you to focus on organizations that often go overlooked and are truly in need of literacy resources.
Collection Points where book donations can be gathered—such as your school, local bookstores, libraries, or houses of worship.
You’ll be encouraged to communicate directly with these organizations to understand their needs, age groups served, and preferred types of books. This is not just about dropping off books—it's about building meaningful, lasting relationships within your community. We’ll support you with email templates, checklists, and credibility checks to help make this process smooth and impactful.
